Eligibility for Disability Benefits under Social Development Canada (SDC)
If you work long enough at a job which is covered under the provisions of the SDC Act, and become disabled for any reason, you are probably eligible for disability benefits.
According to the SDC Administration, a "disability" can be physical or emotional, or a combination of both. In order to be applicable for benefits, you must have a disability severe enough to keep you from working in any regular paying job for an indeterminable duration, which comes under the “Prolonged” category.
Basically, to be eligible for this disability benefit you must be found to have a disability severe enough preventing you from performing ANY KIND OF WORK permanently.
When you register at D & R Disability Legal Services you have to stop worrying about your claim and concentrate on your rehabilitation. Let us take care of your problems.
